1.SIMPLE. Life is short. Imagine you and your own island. Sea Otter Island is about as simple as you can get. It is like living in the heart of the richest National or Provincial Park in the world, with your own house there. Tons of animals, fishing and 10 foot thick Old Growth Trees are everywhere. There aren’t even any crowds on this paradise because it is perfectly isolated. 2.UNEXPECTED. Imagine what your friends will think when you tell them you are buying part of an island. Life here IS expecting the unexpected. Don’t like the dramatic weather, just wait a few hours. Want an animal show just look around you. The up to 15’ tides teach you about a different cycle of life. You can fly there in 3 hours from Seattle or Vancouver. 3.CREDIBLE. More like INCREDIBLE. This lush coastline is one of the richest* environments on earth because of the upwelling that occurs from the strong ocean currents. The native people are some of the only people that didn’t migrate because food was so abundant. Hundreds of islands and miles of coast line to explore. From 40 pound salmon to Humpback whales that eat 4 tons of fish a day, this place is truly incredible. 4.CONCRETE. Solid as a rock. Imagine the adventure of cruising on a sailboat with no seasickness. There are so many weather and life cycles passing through here that it is like traveling except you have a foundation. You are also totally self sufficient with solar power and water from the rain. What is fun is to tune into the traffic stations on the satellite radio to remind yourself where you are. 5.EMOTIONAL. Hear yourself think again. So peaceful and quiet at times that you can hear your heartbeat. You become a small piece of an incredible nature scene. Since the hassles of the world are way over the horizon you can pay attention to you and your loved ones. It is all quality time. Some people ask themselves “why am I going back”? 6.STORY. Start writing. Now you really have something REAL to write about. You will touch nature out here and nature will touch you. There is no way around it. This is one place you are the participant of life not just the onlooker or pawn for someone else’s life. No excuses. Don’t wimp out. Start living on Sea Otter Island FOR THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE. |
