This trip was to go from Lake Titicaca to the Uni salt flats all at 12,000 feet elevation and in the Andean Mountains. The trip was to follow the drainage of this lake which doesn't go to the Amazon rather it ends up in these salt flats. The salt is left after the water evaporates every year and is hundreds of feet deep. It takes a long time.
Michael Powers was the photog and you can see the wheels that enabled us to run up on beaches or go on the salt flats.
This is on the Lake where the two Ocean Kayak Cabos were made into a Catamaran with a sail. There is a flamingo on top of the mast.
